About Domechy

Hi, I’m Ridzwan,
the founder of Domechy.

I’ll be quick.

I originally created Domechy as a place to keep my own notes and publish articles about 3D printing, mechanical design and the things I learned from my projects.

But the more I built it, the more I realised Domechy would be much more useful if it wasn’t just my website. It could be a place where all of us share what we know, what we build and what we learn along the way.

Why it changed

One person can only share so much.

Domechy became more interesting the moment it stopped being only about what I know.

There are already many Malaysian makers, students, engineers, hobbyists and designers solving useful problems every day. Most of that knowledge is scattered across social media posts, private chats, Facebook groups or simply stays in someone’s head.

I want Domechy to give that knowledge a proper home. Somewhere it can be shared, discovered later and hopefully help the next person build something better or avoid the same mistake.

So Domechy is slowly changing from a site where I publish content into a community platform where anyone can contribute.

What you can do here

Share something useful.

You do not need to be an expert. If you made something, learned something or figured out a better way to do something, that may already be useful to somebody else.

01

Projects

Show what you are building and keep adding updates as the project develops.

02

Articles

Share a guide, experience, review, lesson learned or technical explanation in your own words.

03

3D Models

Upload useful models so other people can download, print and build on your work.

04

Simple posts

Share a quick idea, result, question, experiment or something interesting from your workbench.

The idea is simple

When one of us learns something, the rest of us should be able to find it.

A useful answer should not disappear inside a comment thread a week later. A good project should not be seen once and forgotten. If we keep our knowledge, projects and models in one place, Domechy becomes more useful every time somebody contributes.

Where I want this to go

A Malaysian home for people who like to build things.

My long-term goal is simple: when someone in Malaysia wants to learn about 3D printing, look for a useful model, see what other makers are building or share their own work, I want Domechy to be one of the first places they think of.

It does not need to become the biggest community. I would rather it become a genuinely useful one, filled with real projects, practical knowledge and people who are willing to help each other improve.

That’s basically it

If you build things, you’re invited.

Explore what other Malaysian makers are sharing, or create an account and add something of your own. Even one useful post can help somebody.

Thanks for being here.
